TL;DR - I'm not interested in your data, and frankly, you shouldn't be interested in mine either. I’m not using any kind of tracking cookies, I’m not sending you emails, because I’m not even sure who you are or if you’ve visited this site unless you tell me (and even then, I might forget).
This website is simply a place for me to show off some cool pictures.
That’s all there is to it.
I use a content delivery network (CDN) called unpkg CDN. This is technically provided by Cloudflare Inc, 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, California 94107.
OK, so what exactly is a CDN?
Have you ever ordered a pizza for delivery? The pizza restaurant takes care of making the pizza, but they need help getting it to your door. So they rely on a delivery driver to bring the pizza to your house quickly and safely. A CDN is kind of like a delivery driver for my website. It helps my website's content get to my visitors faster and more reliably, so they can enjoy a seamless experience without any long loading times or errors regardless of their location.
Not too shabby, huh?
My website uses one necessary session cookies for specific website functionality. Don’t worry, they have nothing to do with your sweet tooth. The cookie’s name is “nudewarning,” and is used to remember your agreement to enter a specific section of the website. You'll quickly see which section I'm alluding to.
And as long as you keep using the site, that cookie is your golden ticket - it helps the website remember your choice.
But here's the catch: as soon as you close your browser session, this cookie crumbles (not literally, don't worry). So this cookie will only persist for the duration of the user's browsing session.
It's like the website says, "Alright, it's been real, but it's time to go our separate ways. Thanks for coming, and don't forget your coat!"
Necessary cookies are like the superheroes of the internet - they save the day without asking for permission. That's right, they're exempt from user consent requirements under privacy laws because they're essential for keeping websites working properly. They help you navigate and remember where you've been, all while keeping your information safe and sound.
So, sit back, relax, and let necessary cookies be your trusty guide through the wilds of the internet.
And if you disable cookies, it might affect the proper functionality of the website.
But hey, it’s your call.
So, you know those super cool photos you saw on this site? Yeah, they belong to yours truly. To protect them, I gotta lay down some ground rules: no downloading, copying, storing, manipulating, projecting, or altering my photos without my permission, capiche?
And listen, if you think you're gonna take one of my pics and make some derivative creation out of it, think again. That's a big no-no in my book.
So, to sum it up: my photos, my rules. Don't mess with 'em, and we'll all get along just fine.
If you want to get in touch with me, I'm totally game - I mean, who doesn't love a good email, right? But here's the deal: I'm only gonna process the deets you give me (like your name and email address), 'cause let's face it, I don't have psychic powers (yet).
Now, don't try to pull a fast one on me with a fake name and a blank email - that's a one-way ticket to my trash folder. But if you've got a legit question or comment, I'm all ears (well, eyes, technically).
The legal basis for me processing your data is Art. 6 para. 1 UAbs. 1 letter f) DSGVO. But let's be real, my main reason for processing your data is 'cause I wanna respond to your inquiry - I'm just that friendly. So, if you're cool with that, drop me a line and let's chat!
If you really want to reach me, you can find me in Germany.
Or you can just email me at support@olafernst.com.
And if you want to hear my lovely voice, you can even give me a call at + 49-1567-8574-522.
