Olaf Ernst

An enthusiastic photographer from Germany with a soft spot for street-photography, portrait and landscapes.

Street photography and people in particular is what drives me. But landscapes are always the best memory of all the trips I’ve made so far. In the age of social media, a single image loses all meaning. Not for me. Every single picture is a kind of memory bank for me. Without this one picture, I could not remember this situation. A window into the past, so to speak.

And in the mass of pictures that one makes nowadays every day one must not forget one thing, which Ansel Adams has brought to the point:

Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.
